Where did you find the early 80s Devo clip? I was fortunate enough to see them in 1980 and 1982, back when they (and I, ha!) were younger. I saw the reunion show in NYC a couple years ago, and while I enjoyed it, they could not match the intensity of their concerts from that time (understandable, I could not see myself slamming in, say, a Blackflag pit like I did back then!)
